The Sheridan House Single Parent Ministries

Since 1992, Sheridan House Family Ministries has partnered with the local church (Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties) to serve single moms in need. Whether the need is physical, spiritual, emotional, or financial, they are committed to helping today’s “widows and orphans.”

In an effort to better meet the needs of single moms in today’s world, their Single Parent Ministry offers more individualized and intensive training in areas such as finances, parenting, resume preparation and interviewing skills, meal planning on a budget, appropriate dress, and more.

The Boys & Girls Club, NFL YET Center

An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

S.W.I.M.S. Foundation

The mission of S.W.I.M.S. is to provide safe water instruction to all children in South Florida, the basic elements of water safety to prevent drowning deaths and near-drowning incidents.

The main objective of the program is that the children learn that if they fall into a body of water they would understand their danger and know how to stay afloat long enough, or how to swim to the side of the pool.

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a Family-Centered Care facility designed to promote and support a mutually beneficial partnership between families and healthcare professionals in caring for children. We recognize that families have the greatest influence over a child’s health and well-being and bring important strengths to their child’s healthcare experience.

The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance

The Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance’s mission is to find a cure for tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) while improving the lives of those affected. Their vision is to bring about a day when no one has to endure the devastating effects of TSC.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

The Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to cystic fibrosis. It funds and accredits more than 115 CF care centers, 95 adult care programs and 50 affiliate programs, and more than 75 chapters and branch offices nationwide.

2-1-1 Broward

2-1-1 Broward is the live, 24-hour comprehensive helpline, providing all people with crisis, health and human services support and connecting them to resources in our community.

Russell Education Foundation

Established in 1998, by ex-Miami Dolphin’s linebacker, Twan Russell, and his late mother, Corliss. Corliss a middle-school teacher with a huge heart for helping struggling children launched the Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation afterschool program to focus solely on reading to equip children for academic success.

Jason Taylor Foundation

The Jason Taylor Foundation supports and creates programs that facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida’s children in need by focusing on improved health care, education and quality of life.

Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center

Since 1995, Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has helped to reunify over 850 families by providing the intensive services necessary to stop the cycle of family dysfunction and substance addiction.

B. Wright Leadership Academy

Amission is to provide a Private K-12 school that will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children by fostering an engaging and educational atmosphere.
